Sibiu’s rich cultural heritage was internationally recognized when it became the European Capital of Culture in 2007.
Every year, it hosts numerous cultural events and festivals that gather both local and international artists and tourists.


SIBIU INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL

Elected best year’s event at the Forum Hotel Tourism & Leisure Gala of Excellence in 2011, Sibiu International Theatre Festival contributes substantially to the consolidation of Romania’s international prestige and the development of the cultural tourism phenomenon by organizing events promoting excellence.

ASTRA FILM FESTIVAL

Astra Film Festival is the promoter of the documentary movie and has brought the newest Romanian and international productions on the big screen ever since 1993.

SIBIU JAZZ FESTIVAL

During the festival, rumerous concerts, jam sessions and workshops take place in the entire city, exploring how being jazz music interferes with other musical genres, such as: folklore, symphonic music, rock, salsa, hip-hop, etc.

TRANSILVANIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

TIFF is the first international film festival in Romania. In its 10 years of existence, TIFF has become a recognized brand in Romania for its quality, excellent organization, effervescent atmosphere and a host of events, from seminars and workshops to concerts and parties.
